Leonard Streckfus Exhibit

Leonard Streckfus – a California artist known for animal sculptures, made by assembling various salvaged materials such as pieces of bicycles and seats, old shoes, used pots, with screws and bolts, without the use of welding – created six original compositions for the “Luigi Zaini and the Chocolate Factory” exhibit. He used the collage technique, the preferred technique of historical avant-garde artists of the early 1900s (Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism).

Each work of art depicted an imaginary character: “Duchess of Zaina”, “Duke of Zaina”, “Dog head”, “Acrobat” and “Strong man” and finally an exceptional emulous of Tutankamon “Tut” (pictured).
